Prescription & CNS coverage

Do I need a medical prescription to start physiotherapy?
Yes, to receive reimbursement from the CNS, a medical prescription is required. It must indicate the condition, treatment type and ZD10 if treatment is at home. Sessions without a prescription are not reimbursed.
What is the CNS reimbursement rate?
The standard rate is 70 percent. Some cases are reimbursed at 100 percent such as severe conditions, post surgery rehab, patients under 18, ZB10 assessments and work accidents.
Can I start sessions before CNS approval?
Yes, but reimbursement is guaranteed only after approval.

Pricing & Billing

What are the physiotherapy treatment prices?
Prices follow the national nomenclature such as ZK10, ZK11, ZK12, ZK14, ZK15, ZK16, ZK17, ZB10, ZD10. Full prices on www.cns.lu
How does payment work?
The patient pays then submits the invoice to the CNS. Some cases are paid directly by the CNS.
Can I be charged if I cancel an appointment?
Yes, if cancellation is less than 24 hours or delay over 15 minutes, ZCP1 fees apply.

Sessions & organisation

How long is a session?
Minimum 20 minutes, usually 30 to 45 minutes.
Does the physiotherapist treat several people at once?
No. Only one patient at a time.
What if I need an urgent appointment?
Express service before 8, after 19, weekends, holidays. Extra ZCP2 or ZCP3.

Physiotherapy at home

When can I receive home physiotherapy?
Prescription with ZD10, reduced mobility.
What areas do you cover?
We cover all Luxembourg via Kine At Home.
